Famous Kenyan Blogger Robert Alai who is a supporter of Raila Odinga, has alleged that Kondele Chaos during DP Ruto's tour in the area, was staged by Ruto's allies and bodyguards so as to get sympathy votes. Chaos that erupted led to vehicles being destroyed by stones that were alleged thrown by the residents of Kondele.

Alai alleges that the chaos was staged because the number plates of the vehicles were hidden and it was for a reason. Also the chaos was only documented and witnessed by Ruto allies and there were no independent witnesses. According to him, the vehicles were stoned by Ruto's security.

Robert Alai says they are just doing this to destroy Raila Odinga name and a plan for Ruto to be able to negotiate in 2022 after losing the seat.
Kenyans reacted by rubbishing Alai's allegations saying he should look at the photos and videos shared online to tell that the incident was not staged.
