Distribution of Today's New Cases in Counties

9 patients have succumbed to the disease, all of them being late deaths reported after conducting facility record audits on diverse dates in the months of October and December 2020, April and June 2021. The cumulative fatalities now stand at 3,621.

719 people have tested positive, from a sample size of 7,608 tested in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate is now 9.5%. Total confirmed positive cases are now 183,603 and cumulative tests so far conducted are 1,953,344.

County distribution of new cases;

Nairobi county has 188, Busia county has 76, Kisii county has 57, Siaya county has 53, Kisumu county has 38, Kilifi county has 38, Uasin Gishu county has 29, Kakamega county has 26, Nakuru county has 23, Vihiga county has 22, Mombasa county has 17,

Bungoma county has 16, Homa Bay county has 15, Machakos county has 14, Kericho county has 13, Turkana county has 13, Nandi county has 11, Kiambu county has 11, Laikipia county has 10, Taita Taveta county has 7.

Embu county has 6, Kajiado county has 6, Nyamira county has 5, Kwale county has 4, Makueni county has 4, Trans Nzoia county has 3, Nyeri county has 2, Kirinyaga county has 2, Kitui county has 2, Migori county has 2, Narok county has 1, Nyandarua county has 1, Garissa county 1, Isiolo county 1, Meru county 1 and Bomet county 1.

 As of today, a total of 1,334,749 vaccines had so far been administered across the country. Of these, total first doses are 1,005,901 while second doses are 328,848.
