It has not so far been a dream start to his Premier League career and Hakim Ziyech would have relished the chance to make headlines today as Chelsea hosted West Brom at Stamford Bridge.
However, his time on the pitch was cut off early in the 32nd minute by coach Thomas Tuchel who made a panic reaction after Thiago Silva was shown a yellow card after a late tackle on Yoselu.
With one defender off, Tuchel decided to take off an attacker in Ziyech and bring on Andreas Christensen to try and lead that 1-0 lead courtesy of Christian Pulisic's strike in the 28th minute.
After seeing his number go up from the fourth official on the sidelines, Ziyech was really devastated and could only lower his head down as he slowly walked off the pitch.
The Moroccan casted a dejected figure as he waved way for teammate Christensen and as he slowly walked to the bench, you could see that his morale had quickly gone from 100 to zero.
No player loves to be sacrificed but am sure that after a while he will try and understand the manager's decision and look to make amends in the next game.
