DP Ruto being the candidate to beat, has been traversing the Mt Kenya region to popularise his presidential bid. His popularity in the region has been growing day by day. This has caused jitters in the president's camp.
President Uhuru's key ally has now come out strongly to tame DP Ruto's influence in the region. Kieni mp, Kanini Kega revealed this while on a live interview on citizen television. He was facing off "Tanga Tanga's" Irungu Kang'ata.
The legislator revealed that plans are underway to reignite Jubilee's political muscle in Mt Kenya. "UDA is not a central Kenya party…Whoever is coming into our region must respect the existing political parties in the region …We are revamping Jubilee and you will see action in the next two weeks,’ Kanini kega said on the JKL show.
