How The Nakuru Businessman Lied To Neighbours That They'd Been Attacked After Killing Wife

The Racecourse area in Nakuru county was plunged into a state of shock after the stabbing death of Winnie Chepkirui, who was 41 years old and a mother of three.

The perpetrator of the murder has been identified as Amos Njuguna, her husband. The man is said to have killed wife on Tuesday 7th March.

The discovery of Winnie's decomposing body was made inside their home.

It was reported that the couple had been experiencing marital problems and as a result, Winnie had moved back in with her parents in Nakuru the previous year.

The two had been regularly conducting business together at a neighborhood market.

Neighbours reported hearing loud noises emanating from the couple's house and upon investigation, they discovered Winnie's body but found no trace of Amos.

The house manager, who had been assisting with taking care of their child and performing house chores, stated that Amos had visited her residence, which was only a few meters away and given her two phones, a car key, and the house keys.

She also claimed that Amos had given her the house keys.

Amos Njuguna had claimed that he and his wife had been attacked while travelling from Mau Narok and were on their way to the police station to report the incident.

When the house manager inquired about the whereabouts of Winnie, Amos fabricated an answer, claiming that she was already en route to the local police station and that he would meet up with her there.
