The race to succeed the current president of the Republic of Kenya His Excellency Uhuru Kenyatta, has continued to intensify with defferent leaders basing their early political campaigns in central region or rather Mount Kenya.
Today a section of leaders from the vote rich Mount Kenya region meet in Naivasha and publicly announced former presidential candidate and NARC party leader Martha Karua as their spokesperson. This comes just months after Kikuyu elders endorsed Parliament speaker Justin Muturi as their official spokesperson.
Few minutes later, Kieni member of Parliament Kanini Kega dismissed claims that he was present during the meeting that saw Martha Karua endorsed as the region spokesperson.
"I am not part of this, can the relevant team make this correction as soon as possible," The legislator wrote in his Facebook page.
According to report seen by capital Fm, leaders present during the alleged meeting include Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria, former cabinet secretary for agriculture Mwangi Kiunjuri and William Kabogo former Kiambu county Governor.
