6 Subtle Lies We All Tell Ourselves

I’m too old for that

There are a few people we all are familiar with that accomplished significant achievement when they most people thought that they were too old. For example, Colonel Sanders opened his first KFC franchise at the age of 61. You lose self confidence and ability to realize your potential the moment you doubt yourself and think that time is over. Just never forget that it’s never too old or too you to fulfill a calling

Money doesn’t love me

You deserve that life that you are dreaming of, however you goal should not be on money alone. In simple terms money should not be your primary goal but also abandoning it is not an option either. Always dream of something bigger and better

When I have this, then I will be happy

Most people think that their happiness will only come when they reach their goals, of course it is true but it is very important to feel happy without giving yourself unnecessary ultimatums

I can do that later

No one really knows what their future looks like. The statement “I can do that Later” is one of the most popular lies we tell ourselves. The fact is, we never know how much time we actually have, and you will wake up one day and realize that there is not time for all those things you had to do ‘later’. If you are still waiting for the perfect moment to do something then you should really think about it again because the moment will never come

I’m a loser because my attempts failed

We learn a lot from failures; just because something did not go according to your plans doesn’t mean that you have achieved. Abandon your expectations about what your life should be like and start focusing on what you have currently. You actions and decisions will lead you to your goals and success includes a number of little daily steps.

I’m not them, I can’t do that

You should understand that we are all different in terms of skills, abilities, personalities and other things. The most dangerous thing you can do is to compare yourselves with another person who is more successful. Change your way of thinking to a more positive one that your statement will be “if they can do it, I can too”
