Kenyans have hit out at Deputy President William Ruto who seems to seek inspiration from the bible to send a message to politicians and Kenyans.

The Bible verse comes at a time when Ruto has traded blows with both ODM leader Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Kenyans however told DP Ruto that he should lead by example after sharing a Bible verse on his social media that spoke about forgiveness.

“Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. — Colossians 3:13,” posted Ruto.

Kenyans in response told the deputy president that he should take the bold step of forgiving his political rival, Raila, and stop his attacks and calling the former Prime Minister names in his rallies.

“If tomorrow you will call baba mganga or mtu wa kitendawili then this words will not have meaning in you,” said Leonard Mugambi.

“Then why don't you forgive Raila or the word was meant for us the sufferers?” said Captino Mose.

“Lead by example. Forgive Raila Odinga and stop insulting him,” said Mark Anderson.

“Hypocrites...and tomorrow you will be insulting Raila..why can't you call him and handshake,” said Henry M Chokera.

“I hope you are doing according to that verse which I know you don’t. After that you will hit at Raila before the end of the day,” said Denis Manani.

“Go look for your boss Uhuru and seek forgiveness for your truancy. While at it, tafuta Baba and iron out your issues with him. Kama alikukosea, mwambie akuombe msamaha. Kama ulimkosea, mwombe msamaha n am sure he'll forgive you. Else you stop preaching mursik and drinking muratina,” said Omondi Jeff.
