Kenyans have been very busy attending political rallies in the past few months with several candidates expressing interest in taking over from President Kenyatta when his term comes to an end in 2022.
The likes of Raila Odinga, Musalia Mudavadi, Kalonzo Musyoka, William Ruto, and Gideon Moi have been holding huge rallies as they look to sell their agenda to voters ahead of the highly anticipated 2022 general elections.
The Deputy President has been selling his Hustler nation narrative where he is advocating for change in the country's economic model approach from Top-Down to Bottom-Up. Raila on his part has been selling his Azimio la Umoja initiative that looks to Unite the country in order to achieve economic prosperity.
Raila has been holding meetings with different groups to discuss the Initiative. The latest meeting took place yesterday where he met women from the Mt Kenya region and Nairobi County. It has now emerged Nairobi women were 1,200 each while those from From Mt Kenya were given ksh 2,200 each.
The report was revealed by Denis Itumbi. The size of the amount has left Kenyans talking. Here are some of the reactions.
