Raila Odinga, the leader of the coalition Azimio la Umoja: One Kenya Alliance, officially proclaimed the beginning of nationwide mass actions. This occurred after the 14-day ultimatum he had given President William Ruto had expired. Raila has accused the Kenya Kwanza Alliance government of being responsible for the rising cost of living.

Jeremiah Kioni, secretary general of the Jubilee party, addressed the crowd in Narok county and relayed President Uhuru's message regarding Raila's call for mass action. Jeremiah Kioni stated that Uhuru Kenyatta supports Raila Odinga, the leader of the Azimio party. Kioni stated that President Uhuru Kenyatta has greeted the residents of Narok County and informed them that he continues to support Raila.

Kioni stated that he is prepared to defend and fight for Raila until he is elected to the state legislature. After being taken to court for claiming that Raila's votes were stolen, he cried foul.

Uhuru Kenyatta has been a supporter of Raila Odinga and was his intended successor, but William Ruto was elected president. See the video here.
