Boni Khalwale aka Boni Mtetezi is a kenyan politician and former medical officer in Kakamega County. Dr. Boni Khalwale is the former Senator for Kakamega County having served from 2013 to 2017 before deciding to run for Kakamega County gubernatorial seat during the 2017 general elections. He was eventually defeated by the incumbent Governor Wycliffe Oparanya of the Orange Democratic Movement.
Though Dr. Boni Khalwale was a close ally to Amani National Congress party leader Hon Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya party leader Hon Moses Wetangula, he has since shifted camp to Deputy President Dr William Samoei Arap Ruto's United Democratic Alliance.
Dr. Boni Khalwale left Kenyans puzzled when he publicly said that the United Demicratic Alliance doesn't believe in small ethnic and regional parties like Amani National Congress, Ford Kenya, Wiper Democratic Movement and so on.
".@KBonimtetezi: We don't believe in small ethnic and regional parties like ANC, Ford Kenya, Wiper and so on. That is our position." Tweeted by K24 TV
