Good news for Chelsea fans as player made his first competitive appearance after injury recovery

Following his return from injury, Musonda played in a competitive encounter for the first time in a long time, while Baker played the whole 90 minutes and also contributed to the result by assisting on one of the goals.

Chaly Musonda played slightly over an hour for Chelsea U23s in their 4-3 Premier League 2 victory over Liverpool U23s on Saturday.

Chelsea's U23 team fought back from a 2-0 deficit to defeat Liverpool 4-3.

Xavier Mbuyamba, who was recently on the first-team bench against Aston Villa in the League Cup. Mbuyamba missed the majority of last season due to injury, so it's nice to have both of them back in action!

The last time Musonda played in a competitive game was on August 16, 2019. In 2018, the 24-year-old suffered a devastating knee injury.

The 24-year-old has been on Chelsea's books since 2012, but has only made three senior outings for the Blues.
