The teacher service commission is the only body in Kenya mandated constitutionally 2 register, hire, fire,remunerate and manage all the activities concerning teachers in Kenya.
Today teacher service commission has announced that seven teachers are facing interdiction over Kenya Certificate of Secondary (KCSE) examination irregularities in various parts of the country. This has been stated by teacher service commission boss Dr Nancy Macharia while overseeing today's papers in Murang'a County. Dr. Macharia said that, the seven teachers where involved in different examination malpractices and they will face the full force of the law according to the National examination Council acts on examination irregularities.
All this comes at a time when, some teachers have been arrested and taken to the police custody after they were found manipulating examination materials and even others possessing examination papers before they were done.
It was just yesterday when, education cabinet secretary prof George Magoha said,any teacher who will be found violating examination rules will be dealt with according to the law.
Today, a principal from Machakos has been arrested for posting a mathematics paper 2 on her WhatsApp status page which led to her arrest.
This was According to information shared by Royal Media journalist Nancy Kwamboka, the Principal of ABC Kiseveni Secondary School in Machakos was arrested for posting KCSE Maths papers on WhatsApp.
