It's a good news to students who sat for the 2020 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education and managed to attain 350 marks as Equity Bank opens the following scholarship position.This scholarship aims at providing financial support to vulnerable students who are yet to proceed with their education.The scholarship beneficiaries are required to be academically promising.For eligible applicants, they can visit the Equity Bank's website and fill the scholarship forms. Those who can not make it to the website can otherwise visit any Equity Bank branch or Agent. The deadline for this application is 31st May.
The scholarship position is opened to every student who are economically disadvantaged. These are the following criteria that a student must meet to be successful.
These criteria include:
1. The scholarship focuses on children who are total orphans who have lost both parents and the relatives/guardians/sponsor to provide for their secondary education.
2.Those students who have both parents but the parents are disabled. The disability can be physically, visually, or hearing impaired and otherwise unable to educate their children through the secondary education.
3.Children who are and/or whose parents are living with HIV/AIDS or other chronic debilitating illnesses and are unable to educate their children and have no relative/guardian/sponsor to provide for their secondary.
4. Students who come from vulnerable and marginalized groups or indigenous communities or have suffered cultural practices e.g. early marriage and child labour.
5.Children whose families have been affected by natural disasters such as flooding, drought, and famine or civil conflict and therefore the parents are unable to educate their children and have no relative or guardian or sponsor to provide for their secondary education.
