"Tumechoka" Elgeyo Marakwet Residents Cry Out To The Government Due To Increased Bandit Attacks

The Elgeyo Marakwet residents have expressed themselves by crying out to the government following increased bandit attacks in the region.

The residents claimed that the interior cabinet secretary stated that there is an operation going on to take out the bandits but in reality there is no such an operation.The residents called out the government to intervene and find a solution against the bandits because they are losing more lives everyday.

One of the Elgeyo Marakwet residents claimed that six people among them five professionals have been recently killed by bandits despite the ongoing operations.The residents said,"tumechoka" which loosely translates to they are tired.

One resident stated that all they wish for is peace and children to be able to go to school comfortably.She asked Professor Kithure Kindiki to act anytime he says something in order for the bandits to know that the government is acting.
