"Not Him" Raila's Chat With Officer After Denied Entry To Place Where Matiang'i Is Being Grilled

Former Interior and Coordination Cabinet secretary Fred Matiang'i did today appeared before Directorate of Criminal Investigation where he is being grilled.

During the process, Azimio la Umoja coalition leaders led by Raila Odinga, Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna and Kisii County Senator Richard Onyonka intended to join him.

However, they suffered a blow after being denied entry at the DCI Headquarters where the former CS was being grilled.

In a video link that has surfaced online, the DCI Officer is heard informing the Azimio team that none of them will be allowed in. According to him, this are as per the instruction.

"Am told you are not allowed. None of you will be allowed in," The officer is heard saying.

Azimio leader Raila Odinga intervened, saying is is headed to see the Director and not Dr Fred Matiang'i as purported. According to him, DCI Headquarters is public office and can be accessed by anybody at anytime.

"Why? this is public office. You want me to order this people to enter by force. This is a public office and am allowed to get in there," Raila Odinga stated.Courtesy

Following the grilling, Dr Fred Matiang'i has been charged with conspiracy to commit felony and publication of false information linked to alleged police raid at his Karen Home.
