Nominated Senator Hon Isaac Ngugi, has deconstructed Deputy President Dr William Ruto in his quest for presidency, claiming that the second in command failed to keep his promise of returning the Kikuyu Community members back to their homes and farms in Rift Valley region, as they had agreed with President Uhuru Kenyatta in the year 2013 as they were entering into a coalition to vie for presidency.
Speaking during Raila's meeting with Mount Kenya region youths in Nyeri County, Ngugi lured the youths to vote for the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga to become the next president of the republic of Kenya, blasting Deputy President Dr William Ruto as a liar who does not keep his promises. He added that Ruto had earlier agreed with President Uhuru Kenyatta that he will make sure that the land which was taken from Kikuyu community members by the Kalenjins, during the 2007/08 post-election violence is returned but up to now he hasn't kept that promise.
"The youths let me tell you, if it was not Baba (Raila) I would not have been given my position as a Senator. Baba has brought peace since handshake and he does not give fake promises. The other man (DP Ruto) had agreed with President Uhuru Kenyatta before they formed a coalition, to make sure that the lands of our people (Kikuyus), who were displaced and taken away in Rift Valley are returned to them, but up to now he has not returned our land and our people including me we are still leaving as IDPs." Said Ngugi in Swahili language.
