"They Want Him To Sleep In Jail" Kisii Senator Onyonka Alleges DCI Officers Plot On Matiangi Today

Kisii County Senator Hon Richard Onyonka, who is among the leaders who have accompanied former Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiangi to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) today for questioning by the DCI officers, over allegations that the police officers raided his home last month has spoken about the process which is ongoing at the DCI headquarters.

Speaking to Citizen television reporter Seth Olale live from DCI headquarters, Onyonka has revealed out that the DCI officers are plotting to have Matiangi sleep in custody today. He argued that Matiangi's lawyers have informed them that there is a deliberate delay in the grilling exercise, so that time can go until late hours for Matiangi to sleep in jail until tomorrow. They want to delay the process until 3 and 4 pm so that by the time they take him to Milimani law courts he can be detained until tomorrow.

He futher revealed that there are so three charges which the DCI officers are preparing to present to court today after the grillingexercise, but they are yet to be revealed to them that's what they are currently using as an excuse to delay the process to make sure Matiangi sleeps in custody tonight.

"Up to now we have heard from Hon Matiangi's lawyers let by Senior Counsel Otiende Amolo, Okongo Omogeni, Danstan Omari and others that they are preparing three charges which they want to present on him after today's grilling. But the other information which we have recieved is that they want to delay the grilling process up to 3 pm and 4 pm so that when they reach at Milimani Law Courts, it would be already late so that he can sleep in custody. They want him to sleep in jail that's the unfortunate news which we have heard from inside there..." He said.
