People from Tharaka Nithi county were slapped with bad news on Sunday evening after a fatal accident involving a Nissan Matatu that has occurred at Nithi bridge.
The Matatu which is from Chuka Ungwana Matatu Sacco was heading to Chuka from Meru when it overturned over the bridge damaging the vehicle badly.
Although no casualties have been reported so far,the victims have been rushed to a hospital in Chuka for treatment by the county ambulance.
The police have also embarked on investigations to determine to sole course of this fateful accident as they keep a close eye to the driver of the car.
Nithi bridge is one of the major blackspots in Kenya where drivers and road users along the highway are advised to be careful when crossing the bridge.
The government through the former member of parliament for Imenti South constituency Kiraitu Murungi had put reliable measures to curb the number of accidents witnessed in that place.
