Teachers play a very critical role in the society. Known to be patient, kind , selfless and understanding, the world has today marked the famous teachers day with all teachers receiving praises from all quotas.
During a celebration in Nairobi, the Teachers Service Commission has unveiled a teacher's roll of Honors to celebrate teachers who have exhibited exemplary performance in curriculum delivery and management of learning institutions.
Among those who have been honored are the Chief Principals of Kapsabet High School, Kenya High, School and Mang'u High for the secondary schools category and Utafiti Primary, Tenwek Boarding and St.Peters Mumias primary school.
The Teachers roll of honor was arrived at after thorough scrutiny and evaluation of performance of learning institutions in both curricular and extra curricular activities.
Other Heads of institutions appearing on the roll include Magut Isaac of St.Patricks Nandi Primary and Rose Munzala of St. Joseph's Girls High School Kitale.
