The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party Leader Raila Odinga was taken back at the Nairobi Hospital days after being discharged from the facility.
According to Raila’s brother Oburu Oginga, the opposition chief was taken back at the facility on Thursday, March 18 for a routine medical check up scheduled with his doctors.
“His doctors wanted to see him. He was attended to and allowed to go home and continue with the self-isolation,”
Oburu further assured citizens that the former prime minister is doing well and they are praying that he recovers from Covid-19 quickly.
“Raila is doing well. It was just a normal check-up. He is back home,” Oburu told the People Daily.
Raila was diagnosed with the dreaded virus five days after his five-day tour in the Coastal region to drum support for the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).
Taking to social media on Sunday, March 14, Raila shared a video of him exercising while talking to his daughter Winnie Odinga.
“I’m feeling wonderful. It’s so nice to be back home, I was in a prison back there. Even though I’m still in isolation, I can now see the beautiful outdoors and nature,” said the ODM.
