According to the report shared by the Kenya Power and Lighting Company, there is many causes of power Interruptions in Kenya. Basically, any interruption between power generation and the supply of electricity to homes can cause a power outage.
It can stem from inclement weather conditions, human errors, equipment failure and animal interference. Scheduled maintenance can as be also cause a power outage, though this is usually communicated to households in advance by the utility company.
Therefore the Kenya Power and Lighting Company has announced very long blackouts on Friday in the following Counties.
Area: Parts of Riverside, therefore these areas will affected from 9.00am to 5.00 pm. Those places including Riverside and adjacent customers.
2. Machakos County
According to the report shared by the KPLC Kasinga area in Machakos will receive very long blackouts as from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.
3. Kisii County
Kisii County will also be affected by tomorrow's long blackouts. Since several parts of the county has been scheduled for maintenance.
4. Kirinyaga County
Several places in these county in Kirinyaga County are likely to be affected by power Interruptions tomorrow.
