A 23-year-old woman was burnt beyond recognition in her kitengela house yesterday in the morning, in what was suspected to be murder by a jilted lover.
Neighbors were woken up by heavy eliminating from ms Janet Ndirangu's bedsitter on the fourth floor of moonlight plaza, on deliverance Church Road in New Valley estate.
Nicholas Omondi, the caretaker of the building said he had to break the padlock but he could not save the lady. He found the lady on her bed and a burning gas under the bed. He also described Janet as a quiet lady who had resided in the building alone for only three months.Mr. Omondi also added that he did not hear any commotion the previous day.
Police took the body of the woman to the kitengela sub-county mortuary.
Isinya sub-county police boss Ancient Kaloki said that the police have launched a manhunt and investigation urging the public to stop speculating about it.
