Kenyan sprinter and and now Africas fastest man Ferdinand Omanyala has spoken a day after the end closure of the athletic calendar in Kasarani. Omanyala has closed the season on high spirits, with an official track record of 9.7 seconds.
Accordingt o him hardwork, discipline and persistence are key to his success. Since he was suspended for doping allegations five years ago Omanyala has shared a story of how it is difficult to maintain the required standards as an athelete, he has shared his journey and how a hospital medication ruined his days.
Omanyala has said he is now wise and more experienced, he is keen not to ruin his present and future. He is cautious of what he eat and drink as well as the type of medication he takes. Omanyala has advised youths on the importance of having self discipline in every aspect of their lives. He cited balancing studies and his career as requiring top discipline. "Continued training and determination is what has improved my atheletics career," said Omanyala who has in recent days being touring the world for continued training and exposure.
