
Unemployment in Kenya is a major challenge affecting most of the people in the country. Many have graduated from colleges and universities but have not yet employed. However, the government has been operating in a bid of curbing the rate of unemployment among youths.
Passing good news to unemployed Teacher, Kenya national union of teachers(Knut) has announced the target of 150,000 newly recruited teachers into the union as recorded in Daily Nation newspaper dated Wednesday 19, January 2022. The union has demanded more teachers to be absorbed into the union.
Knut aims at fighting for the rights of teachers to ensure effective service delivery to teachers and to ensure their grievances are heard. Teachers have been complaining over some back seeking the additional of money for the services they are providing.
However, the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) had announced fresh recruitment of teachers where a large number of unemployed teachers applied an indication of large numbers of unemployed teachers tarmaking to seek employment.
