"Kenyans Want Raila to Lead Them" Mishi Mboko Says in Likoni, Slam DP Over His Controversial Remarks

Likoni Member of Parliament Mishi Mboko has claimed that Kenyans want the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga to lead them and have the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance camp form government saying it is the reason they are in support of mass action.

Speaking in her constituency on Sunday when she hosted Raila, Narc Kenya boss Martha Karua and Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka among others, Mboko argued that Raila has the interests of Kenyans at heart, claiming that the Kenya Kwanza government is not considerate of the hard economic times Kenyans are facing.

She went on to slam Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua over his controversial remarks that the government is like a company where people who have shares will benefit, saying that the DP meant those who voted for Raila will not get development from government.

The vocal ODM lawmaker noted that if Gachagua's remarks is anything to go, then those who voted for Azimio should not be forced to pay taxes.

"Kenyans want a president and a leader who will show them direction and that is none other than Raila Amolo Odinga. You said that government is a company, so why are you collecting taxes?"

"You and Ruto are being paid by the taxes from Kenyans and you tell us that there are those who will benefit and those who will not, shame on you. Kenya belongs to all of us."
