Recently, during the President Uhuru Kenyatta's Covid-19 Address to the Public, the President outlined Covid-19 Guidelines and measures that will see the ministry of health and Kenyans curb the Spread of Corona Virus across the country.
Remember this is coming at a time when Kenya has entered the third wave of Covid-19 Virus. A number of Kenyans have hugely recorded positive cases. This has also seen very many people succumbing to Covid-19 pandemic.
The President extended the Nationwide Curfew, reduced the number of Church attendees, to a third number of congragants, also reduced the number of wedding attendees to 100 people and banning all political rallies do the next 30 days.
The President also advised both The CS Health and Transport ( Mutahi Kagwe and James Macharia) respectively to review guidelines in transport Sector. Of course these guidelines are in line with the previous ones where all Matatus were to carry 60% of the passengers.
All these are aimed at controlling the spread of the Corona Virus among Kenyans and therefore preventing the spread of the virus.
Today the Police Officers have arrested 49 people for flouting the COVID-19 rules in Nakuru. The Crackdown also saw 4 matatus impounded for defying the Covid-19 rules.
Notably, it is evident that the Ignorance by Kenyans has seen steady rise in COVID-19 infections.
