At a time when several Kenyans have been declaring interest in top elective position, a young lawyer from Othaya has declared interest to vie for Nyeri woman representative position on Raila Odinga's Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party.
This young lady is non other than Wakili Leah Thanji who hails from Karima ward which is within Othaya constituency in Nyeri county of Mt Kenya region.
Leah Thanji has been a great supporter of Raila Odinga and has been at the forefront of mobilising young people from Nyeri to support the efforts selling ODM party in the Mount Kenya region.
This is not the first time that Leah Thanji is getting into elective positions. She has been a student leader in various institutions of higher learning where she accredits herself a servant leader.
She has pursued her bachelor's of Law degree at the Mount Kenya University before which she schooled in Uganda for her advanced form five and six studies.
In 2017, she had declared interest in the Kasarani constituency position which is currently being held by Jubilee party elected Member of Parliament Honourable Mercy Gakuya.
It is worth noting however that Leah Thanji did not go ahead with her intention to oust the them former Kasarani constituency Member of Parliament Honourable Elizabeth Ongoro who would be ousted by Mercy Gakuya.
