Wiper Democratic Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has hinted on a possibility of Kirinyaga County Governor Anne Waiguru joining the One Kenya Alliance (OKA).
The Alliance was formed after the fall of NASA coalition and brought together Musalia Mudavadi of ANC, Kalonzo Musyoka of Wiper, Gideon Moi of KANU and Moses Wetangula of Ford-Kenya Party.
Kalonzo today began his tour in the Mt Kenya region. He began with Embu visit where he met Governor and chairman of the Council of Governors (COG) Martin Wambora for a candid discussion.
He later proceeded to Kirinyaga County where he met Governor Ann Waiguru. Speaking shortly after the meeting, Kalonzo revealed that they were discussing about Waiguru joining OKA. He disclosed that the Governor has been desiring to join them as she has been engaging one of them adding that their main intention is to unite the country.
President Uhuru has been holding meetings with OKA principals aimed at uniting them with ODM Party leader Raila Odinga. Kalonzo and Mudavadi however have been maintaining that they won't support Raila's bid again and will only engage him if he accepts to back up one of them for the State House race.
Waiguru recently hinted on ditching Jubilee Party claiming that it would be very difficult for any leader to clinch any seat via the ticket especially in Mt Kenya region. She claimed that she is currently engaging Kenyans on the ground before mapping on the best solution. She has been crying foul citing humiliation by the government following her current political stand.
