Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua said they were handed a poor economy by former president Uhuru Kenyatta. The second-in-command said they needed patience and it would take them time to sort out the economy and improve the economy. Gachagua warned Raila Odinga against threatening the government, adding that they would not be pushovers compared to the previous government.

He gave Raila Odinga a warning to have a peaceful demonstration and failure to adhere to that they will face strict measures.
