Muchelule tribunal that was formed to investigate Irene Marsit and the other dissenting commissioners has recommended removal of Marsit as a commissioner.
The President of the Republic of Kenya Dr. William Samoei Arap Ruto is put into action the directive from the tribunal. This is after her colleagues resigned ahead of the investigation by Muchelule-led tribunal.
In early phases of the investigation, Kalonzo Musyoka, the head of the Wiper party, the Tribunal looking into IEBC Commissioners is unconstitutional.
According to Kalonzo, the Justice and Legal Affairs Committee acted illegally when it suggested that President William Ruto establish a tribunal to investigate the commissioners.
According to him, an Independent Commission is involved in the case, and anything the Justice Muchelule-led Tribunal does is invalid because Parliament was not authorized to approve it.
In addition, Ruto named Mathew Njaramba Nyabena, Col (Rtd.) Saeed Khamis Saeed, Carolyne Kamende Daudi, and Linda Gakii Kiome as members of the tribunal.
Irene Tunta Nchoe and Kibet Kirui Emmanuel have been named joint secretaries.
Peter Munge Murage, who will serve as the tribunal's lead attorney, will have Zamzam Abdi Abib's assistance.
