Studies have shown that dish towels are the most contaminated spot in the kitchen, we use them more than once a day therefore they become very dirty quickly. That’s why your kitchen and bath towels should be changed every couple of days or even every day if you have a large family.
They harbor more bacteria than elevator buttons. We never clean the keys and we always touch them with dirty hands. We tend to keep them in dirty pockets and often drop them on the ground as a result, we bring a large amount of infectious bacteria into the house with our keys. That’s why you are recommended to clean them with antiseptic wipes.
You can simplify your regular routine of cleaning dirty bathroom tiles by giving your shower wall a quick wipe down after every shower. Keeping the bathroom dry will help you prevent bacteria, mold and mildew from growing.
Dirty dishes soaked in water
It is a bad habit leaving dirty dishes in the sink until the next morning because it makes washing up even more challenging. If you are using a dishwasher, don’t pre-rinse your dishes by hand before turning it on/ it’s always best to wash dishes immediately after each meal.
It might be the dirtiest thing in your kitchen, we use it to wash dishes, pots and cutting boards and to wipe up spills and crumbs. You can disinfect a sponge by microwaving it. Simply wash it thoroughly and place the wet sponge in the microwave for one to two minutes on low power. Be sure to monitor the process carefully. Turn off the microwave immediately if you see any smoke. Note that sponges that have metallic scrub pads should never be sanitized using this method.
