Garrisaa county Residents are indeed happy as they get a new senator. Mohamed Haji is the son to Former Senator Elder Yusuf Haji who untimely died after long illness.
On a gazzette notice, Independent Electoral Boundaries commission have today 6th April 2021, declared Haji as a duly elected Senator for Garrisaa county.

Haji has been elected under Jubilee ticket . He won after successfully submitting his papers as the only candidate to the IEBC.
Many people are saying that the people of Garrisaa must have reciprocated mercy and sympathy to have him go unopposed as a sign of high respect to the fallen giant.
Haji had attracted a huge and solid support from political bigwigs including KANU Party leader Gideon Moi, Garrisaa town Member of Parliament Aden Duale and Assembly head of Jubilee parliament Group Aden Keynan.
So far we have three other by-elections yet to be conducted. Juja, Bonchari and Kiambaa constituencies are as well In the race to have new Members of parliament after their representatives succumbed to Covid-19 .
