This year's Mashujaa day celebrations will be held in Kirinyanga county. The preparation for this national event is ongoing. Various national dignitaries will be attending the celebrations led by president Uhuru Kenyatta. This national celebration has united Kirinyanga leaders.
The leaders have been meeting severally for consultative meeting ahead of the Mashujaa day celebrations. The leaders resolved to bury their political differences and work together for the sake of the county's developments. They held their first unity meeting at the official residence of Kirinyanga governor Anne Waiguru.
Today Kirinyanga governor Anne Waiguru was missing as the leaders met for a second unity meeting in Gichugu. The second unity meeting is underway at general Kassam stadium in Kirinyanga county. Local residents from the county have flocked in the stadium to listen to their leaders.
Earlier Kirinyanga women representative Purity Ngirici said that they will continue to affirm their unity ahead of Mashujaa day celebrations at Wanguru stadium. Today the meeting is led by Interior principal secretary Dr. Karanja Kibicho and Kirinyanga women representative Purity Ngirici. Principal secretary Mariga and renowned Kirinyanga businessman Mr. Andrew Ngirici are also inattendance.
