Today, 21st May, 2021 was a very big day for Justice Martha Koome and William Ouko as they took their oath to officially start executing their duties. The ceremony took place at the State House and attended by many legal leaders including the President of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta.
The President assured them that he will protect, administer and defend the constitution in promoting fairness, competence and integrity within it. He wished them success as they embark their judicial journey. Uhuru finally told them, "Fanya haki tu na sisi hatutatakua na shida" a statement that sparked a lot of reactions to Kenyan's who responded differently.
Some wrote, "I am sure the President does not also believe in his words. He is the first President of Kenya to break the record of disobeying court orders. He cannot defend the constitution."
Is there somewhere wrong with the speech of the President since many people are against his words? Share, like, comment and follow us for more updates as we pray and wish the two leaders success in their judicial duties.
