Ledama Ole Kina, who is currently a senator, defeated Samuel Ole Tunai in the general election of last year for the Senate. Ledama, a candidate for the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), defeated the former Narok governor for the seat on the United Democratic Alliance (UDA). But, Tunai was not satisfied with the findings and filed a case with the Narok courts to contest them, claiming that there had been irregularities with the exercise.
Yet there is excellent news for everyone in Azimio, especially for Ledama's supporters. Ole Kina, the court has formally rejected Samuel Tunai's request to invalidate the Senate election results from Narok August. In light of this, Ledama's victory has been upheld, and he will now hold office for the ensuing five years. Ole Kina, a renowned ODM politician, has served as a senator for Narok since 2013 and is currently serving his third term.
