The police fraternity is once again mourning one of its own, Police Constable Cassius Madegwa Lukwa of Parliament Police Station.
According to the source, the officer passed away on Monday at around 10:30 pm while at Lifecare private hospital where he had been admitted for treatment.
The officer is said to have succumbed to leukaemia and blood pressure.
Until his death, he was one of the officers proving security for Vihiga County boss Hon. Dr. Wilberforce Otichilo.
The deceased died in presence of his wife and his brother.
His burial arrangements are underway.
The death of PC Cassius Madegwa Lukwa comes at the same time the police service is recording endless deaths of officers.
"According to family members of the deceased; wife and brother who were present at the hospital the deceased was suffering from BP and Leukemia. The body is lying at the mortuary of the same hospital," the source said
