Bandits continue to wreak havoc in Samburu, West Pokot and Turkana counties despite Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki ordered.

It seems like the bandits have not yet heard CS Kindiki as they're continuing to launch deadly attacks during the night and also in broad daylight despite residents ordered by Interior Cabinet Secretary to vacate the areas so that it can make it easy for the Kenya Defence Forces KDF and National Police Service to deal with bandits head-to-head without sparing them. As we are talking now, Six people are admitted in Lodwar hospital following attack by bandits, one shot dead and a police reservist injured in Samburu.
This is not the first time that the region has witnessed such attacks. In recent months, several other villages in Samburu have been attacked by bandits, leading to the loss of lives and property. The government has promised to beef up security in the area and launch operations to flush out the bandits.
