Members of the group that protested in Abuja on Wednesday demanded that the poll be put off, stressing that Nigerians no longer have faith in INEC to hold a free and fair election.
They urged the international community to step in and oversee new elections that would represent Nigerians' wishes.
One of the group's organizers, Isaac Balami, told journalists during the rally in Abuja that the Nigerian youth would raise money for INEC if it lacked the resources to hold the elections.
"The individuals who claim to have won have not been able to celebrate because they know they did not win," he stated, referring to the first election ever held in Nigeria.
Furthermore, Balami said "INEC themselves broke the peace accord here in Nigeria, it is a big shame, it is so embarrassing, this is the wrong generation to play with, we have gone through hardship, stress, insecurity, suppression and intimidation, we cannot give up at this time, the battle has just began, this is not the youth to play with".
"For this reason, educated Nigerians—including those who never attended school—flew back from the diaspora to cast their votes, only for us to discover later that they really turned off their BIVAS when they realized which parties were leading the APC, just like they did in 1999.
