Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga on Tuesday was denied access to the Directorate of Criminal Investigation headquarters where former Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiang'i was being grilled.
According to reliable sources the former Prime Minister wanted to witness what was going on at the DCI headquarters where the powerful former CS was being grilled by the detectives on what transpired at his home when he alleged that police wanted to raid his home and arrest him.
It is also reported that a battalion of police officers was placed at the DCI headquarters gate to contain the situation and deny an unwanted person from accessing the facility.
The former CS has been grilled on several matters since the morning hours and he is set to be charged with two counts one being attempting to cause chaos among Kenyans when he alleged that police wanted to arrest him and the other is publishing false information contrary to computer and cyber crime act laws.
The former Prime Minister had not reacted to the circumstances surrounding Dr. Fred Matiang'i by the time he was denied access to the Directorate of Criminal Investigation headquarters.
