Comparison Between Uhuru's Jubilee and Sabina's Jubilee

Uhuru Kenyatta and Sabina Chege remain some of the most mentioned names yesterday on Monday, thanks to the wrangles in Jubilee Party and the NDC chaired by former President Kenyatta.

There are currently two factions fighting for the party that was once a ruling party in the country. One faction led by Uhuru Kenyatta and the other involves rebel members who claim Jubilee Party has decamped Azimio and joined President Ruto's side. We compare the two factions one led by Uhuru Kenyatta and the other by Sabina Chege and we leave you deciding on which side is stronger.

Uhuru's Jubilee

One may argue that Uhuru and Jubilee Party belong to one sentence. One because he was one of the founders of the party and two because he used the party to win Presidency twice and was President when the party was the ruling party.

However Jubilee under Uhuru has continued to face degradation over the years since his fall out with William Ruto. The latest being Sabina's 'harsh take over bid' that saw him kicked out of his own party.

Uhuru's Jubilee, nevertheless, has some financial advantages being that Uhuru Kenyatta personally is a billionaire who may use his financial muscle power to influence the strength of his party.

In this side Uhuru is still the leader, David Murathe the deputy party leader and Jeremiah Kioni is the Secretary General. They have the disadvantage of numbers as most of the Members of Parliament from the party joined Ruto's side.

Sabina's Jubilee

On this side, Sabina is the acting leader of the party. Kanini Kega is the acting Secretary general. They have the advantage of numbers. Earlier in the year the duo reportedly led 30 Jubilee MPs and declared their allegiance to President Ruto.

Sabina Chege compared to Uhuru, however has the disadvantage of financial muscle power. Arguably being in support of government, she may get financial assistance from members of the ruling party such as President Ruto, to aid in influencing key activities that will see her side stronger.
