Moses Kuria, the member of parliament for Gatundu South constituency and the leader of People's Empowerment party has revealed that his candidate for the Juja parliamentary by-election is currently held at Juja DCI offices recording statement. Kuria has said that it is the third time this is happening to his candidate.
What George Koimburi is being accused of is not yet clear as Kuria too do not understand why his candidate would be taken to DCI for the third time, however, he stated that it could be because of putting up posters. Kuria has maintained that the power of the people is mightier than the people in power.
''The People’s Empowerment Party candidate for Juja Hon George Koimburi is at the Juja DCI offices recording various statements for the third day in a row. If its not about why he is putting up posters, its about the color of his underwear. But I say truly, truly, the power of the people is mightier than the people in power. Nothing is as strong as an idea whose time has come'' Kuria said.
The battle to fill the vacant seat left after the death of former MP Wakapee is between Moses Kuria's candidate, Hon. George Koimburi and Jubilee's Susan Waititu.
