Just In: Sossion Speak On Matters Education Hours After CAS Interview.

Wilson Sossion is among the shortlisted candidates for Chief Administrative Secretary position. He was interviewed today at 1st March 2023. Wilson Sossion run for senatorial seat in the last election through the UDA tickets but lost to lawyer Sigei.

While speaking at Kass TV tonight, the former lawmaker touched on issues affecting the education sector within Kenya. He highlighted on transitioning of 8-4-4 education system to Competency based curriculum. He accepted that the transformation faces alot of problems one being the limited resources currently present.

"The education system faces a lot of problems now due to rush decisions in the last government. The problems currently witnessed is because the of poor decisions making" he said.

Sossion urged the government to allow all schools to offer junior secondary without discrimination. He further urged the government not to introduce new uniforms.

" The government should have not introduce new uniforms. The students could have proceed with the uniform they had earlier. All schools should be given chance to teach junior secondary" he said.

Sossion also touched on the number of subjects being offered. He said the number of subjects should be reduced from 18 to 9 so that the student workload is reduced.

"The number of teachers who were trained should be increased. The government should roll out program of training teachers" he said.
