On Monday, flamboyant lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi came out to reveal some statistics showing how various leaders have cemented support in their backgrounds ahead of the 2022 Presidential elections.
In a post on social media, Ahmednasir, who has been very keen on various political developments in the country, noted that only Deputy President William Ruto and Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka have a solid support from their background.
According to Ahmednasir, a whopping 99% of residents from Ukambani and Rift Valley will support the two for presidency if each was on the ballot today.
However, he also noted that other candidates who have hinted on running for this seat have insignificant number of support from their region.
For instance, he said that Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party leader Raila Odinga's support in his region depends on if President Uhuru Kenyatta will endorse him for presidency.
On the other hand, Ahmednasir opined that the Head of States support in Mt. Kenya has significantly since many leaders from the region have defected to Ruto's Tanga Tanga wing under the UDA Party.
In his opinion, Ruto's presidency deputized by the former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka will be a big blow to other opponents.
"Of the BIG 5 only 2 communities are solidly (99%) behind a single tribal chieftain. Kambas behind Kalonzo. Kales behind Ruto. Mudavadi has about 7% of Luhya, H.E UHURU has about 8% of Central. Gideon has 0.111% of Kales. Luos are yet to decide, waiting if Uhuru says Baba Tosha!," said Ahmednasir Abdullahi.
