Political embers flared on Thursday when Jubilee Party vice chairman David Murathe faced off with Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua on a live television interview.
In a heated debate on KTN News, Gachagua unapologetically shredded the Building Bridges Initiative, saying that there is nothing good in to talk about.
According to the firebrand MP, the BBI process which is being spearheaded by President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga is most likely going to flop.
The one-time President Kenyatta personal assistant insisted that BBI remains very unpopular in Mount Kenya, Uhuru's political bedrock.
Gachagua who instead asked the President to focus much of his energy on the country's economy said that BBI is not the solution to the country's problems.

On the recent Sagana meeting that was convened by the President in a bid to popularize BBI in the region that Deputy President William Ruto has been keen to make inroads, Gachagua said that the meeting was inconsequential as it will not change the minds of the locals.
On his part, Murathe, a key Uhuru associate maintained that BBI will never flop.
According to the former Gatanga MP, the President and the former Prime Minister will hit the road at the right to sell BBI across the country.
The Gachagua-Murathe faceoff comes at the time the BBI Bill has been sent to the 47 County Assemblies with Siaya being the only one to approve the Bill so far.
