The United Democratic Alliance party chairman Johnstone Muthama has hinted on how UDA government will look like. According to Muthama, there focus is to build a party that is founded on the principles of good governance, equity, freedom, justice and accountability.
With UDA party set to hold its grassroot elections in mid June, Muthama revealed that their motive is to have representatives from all the 47 counties sitting at the national level.
However, the former Machakos senator added that elections will be open fair. The party chairman disclosing that with parties being ran like family business entities, they have learned the hard way. However, he assured that UDA will ensure good governance and a prosperous nation that cares about the well-being of its people.
About the party governance, Muthama revealed that UDA will have a national chairperson who will have three deputies. The deputies will be in charge of the operations, political affairs and programme strategy.
In addition, the party will also create positions of the secretary general, national organization secretary and the national treasurer. However, both will also have three assistants.
With UDA party already planning for 2022 General Elections, the party's constitution has created 18 positions to be occupied by secretaries.However, with the wrangles between Jubilee party and UDA, UDA is said to be the chosen bus that will help drive the Deputy President William Ruto to state house in 2022.
