Arsenal's midfielder Thomas Partey is hopeful of making a return to Mikel Arteta'a side ahead of their trip to King Power Stadium on Saturday for Premier League action.

The Ghanian was absent during Arsenal's 3-1 loss to defending Champions Man City and their 4-2 triumph over Aston Villa last weekend. Arsenal had stated that the midfielder was left out of the squad as a precaution. On his absence, winter new arrival Jorginho has continued to impress in Arsenal's midfield and was instrumental in ensuring Arsenal win 3 points at Villa park last weekend.

Gabriel Jesus and Elneny who renewed terms to stay at the Emirates remain absent ahead of Saturday's clash. The latter both underwent knee surgeries. Bukayo Saka is fine and is set to start at the right wing once again. The 21-year-old has been impressive since breaking to the first team after coming through the academy.

The England international is now out to become the youngest player since cesc Fabregas in 2008 to record 50 Premier League goal involvements, having netted 26 times and setting up 23 more. Eddie Nketiah is once again set to lead the line and we could see Martinelli start ahead of Trossard having scored from the bench against Aston Villa.

Oleksandr Zincheko is set to start at right-back having netted his first Arsenal goal against Aston Villa. White will start at left-back ahead Takehiro Tomiyasu. Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes will partner at the heart of Arsenal's defense while Ramsdale will start between the sticks.

Possible Arsenal starting lineup:

Ramsdale to start between the sticks, White, Saliba, Gabriel and Zinchenko to form the backline. Odegaard, Jorginho and Xhaka to play at midfield while Saka, Nketiah and Martinelli will lead in attack.
