Raila Odinga, the party's leader, is likely to raise the flag, and the conference may resolve uncertainty about his candidacy by endorsing him.
Raila steered clear of the subject of the party's presidential nominee while visiting Tana River on the second day of his Coast tour.
He stated that he is not in a rush to be named the candidate, but that the party will do everything possible to achieve passage of the Building Bridges Initiative Bill.
The Bill was struck down by the High Court, and the appeals are being heard by a seven-judge Court of Appeal bench.
In March, the party's deputies submitted candidacy papers to the ODM secretariat.
Coast leaders, backed by Kilifi Senator Stewart Madzayo, have stated that Raila should be chosen as the flagbearer since he is the only one qualified for the position.
