We have already witnessed looming political alliances being formed ahead of the August 2022 state house bid. The wiper, kanu, ANC and Ford parties coalition is one of the strong alliances that have been formed. The leaders of these parties on Thursday unveiled the kenya one alliance which they will use in their journey to state house.
Surprisingly there is a looming coalition between the biggest rivals in the country. The ODM party are in talks with the deputy president's UDA party. Though we expect more alliances before 2022, these will be the strongest alliances to compete in the next year's presidential elections.
However the kenya one alliance has an added advantage of getting favour from the state. President Uhuru kenyatta is likely to endorse the flagbearer from this alliance to be his successor. The president has alot of say in the coming elections. Therefore he will work by all means to ensure the person he endorses wins the election.
Ruto will have a very hard task competing with this group putting in consideration that the coalition has got support from regions with most population and then the power of the outgoing president.
