The Roots party leader George Wajackoya has today resurfaced with fresh warning to president William Ruto. According to Wajackoya, William Ruto should stick to the constitutional requirements of term limits and not formulate other rules to push for an extension of his time at the helm. Wajackoya who referred to the former president Uhuru's current state, told off president Ruto to stick to the ten years term limits. Wajackoya claimed that he is the current leader of opposition and will not accept any attempts to interfere with the rule of law by the current administration.
His warning comes at a time when the presidential term limits debate is ongoing. The discussion which has since been dismissed by president Ruto's UDA has recieved criticism from the opposition who promised to fight it anytime is tabled in Parliament. Kenyans have reacted to Wajackoya's remarks with mixed reactions with some Kenyans in support of his sentiments.
